Role purpose

As part of our current and future talent planning, Haven is looking to appoint an exceptional new Head of Proposition to the management team. 

The purpose of the role is to lead the development of the future Haven proposition (physical guest environments; guest experiences and service; team welfare & tools to do the job; and caring for our communities).  We believe there is a significant opportunity to reposition Haven (and the wider Holiday Park sector) to broaden the appeal of the brand, grow the footprint of the business and improve the overall financial performance.

Key Accountabilities

•Working closely with the Guest & Proposition Director on developing the strategic proposition plan and developing the long-term roadmap for implementation
•Four main areas of proposition;

•Developing our physical guest environments
•Developing our guest experiences and service
•Improving our teams’ welfare and tools to do the job
•Caring for our communities

•Providing direction for and working alongside the external development team (Designers, Architects, QS, Project Management etc) to ensure delivery of the plan

•Work alongside and influence the internal Operations teams to optimise the proposition in the areas of; Accommodation, Food & Beverage, Things to Do (Activities & Leisure, Entertainment etc). Owners Facilities, Caravan Showgrounds & Sales Offices, Shops & Supermarkets and Touring   
•Own the internal development process & work closely with the Programme Delivery team to ensure delivery of the plan
•Always looking for ways to continually improve the businesses, bringing innovative thinking from the outside


Candidate Requirement

•Experience in proposition/product development and product management in a consumer facing business
•Experienced in multi-site branded operations
•Great at building relationships at all levels of the organisation –especially with all operational leadership
•An excellent communicator
•Strong influencing skills again at all levels of the organisation (as this role comes with the requirement to influence thinking widely across the business)
•An ability to balance the needs of all stakeholders; guest, team, shareholder & community 
•An innovative streak –always looking to make improvements to our guest proposition
•An interest in the latest trends in accommodation, F&B, activities, entertainment would be an advantage 
• Proficient In Microsoft suite and previous experience of using Project Governance software
