We are currently recruiting for a Lifeguard, to deliver the very best possible care and treatment to Guests of the Sports & Leisure dept and facilities by maintaining high standards of guest service and working as an effective team member, whilst adhering to the Company Mission Statement, all Company best practises and legal requirements.
Purpose of the role:
•To make sure the pool is being watched in accordance with the splash manuals policy i.e. 10/20, Zones.
•To ensure rotations are happening in accordance with the splash manual and are on time.
•To ensure that vigilance of the pool is at an optimum level at all times whilst on poolside and to anticipate problems
•To undertake slide operation duties.
•To ensure they attend lifeguard training to keep their qualification valid and up to date with changes. This to include CPR every three weeks.
•To Carry out rescues and other emergency actions when appropriate
•Gives immediate first aid to any casualty
•Identifies emergencies quickly and takes appropriate action
•To Communicate and work as a team when performing these tasks.
•Take a proactive approach to the Health and Safety of yourself, fellow team members and guests.
•Report all potential accidents or hazards.
•To maintain an excellent standard of cleanliness around the swimming pool facility
•To assist with cleaning of the changing room facilities on an evening.
•To ensure the changing rooms, pool surrounds and oasis pools are kept clean and tidy at all times.
•To carry out any other duties as requested.
The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills, and the desire to exceed expectations, giving the customer a better than expected experience. They will have excellent communication skills both within their team and to the customer, and possess a willingness to try new ideas in an ever-changing environment. Candidates will require RLSS / NPLQ Swimming Pool Lifeguard qualifications.
